The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated many countries’ economies and healthcare systems. All around the world, people are losing jobs because of stay-at-home orders imposed to curb the spread of the disease. There are plenty of alternative methods of providing education, however. And with the proper funding, some of these can be made a reality. For example, children in far-flung and impoverished areas can use battery-powered transistor radios to receive lessons and instructions.
